Why doesn't the keyboard input work when accessing virtual servers through the web console?

1.Question

Why doesn't the keyboard input work when accessing virtual servers through the web console?

2.Solution

When you open the web console, a section of your browser window will display the virtual server's screen, similar to having a monitor connected to it.

Make a mouse click inside the console window. Be sure to click inside the area that represents the screen/monitor of the virtual server, not elsewhere in the browser window.

This crucial action sets the focus to the console, allowing your keyboard input to be recognized. Without this initial mouse click to set the focus, your typed commands will register in the browser instead of the console window.

For detailed instructions on using the web console, please see our guide: Access Server via Web Console
