Securing Your Account

1.Password Security

To maintain the integrity of your account, regular password updates are essential, particularly if your initial password was sent via email. To update your password, log into the My Interspace control panel and click the profile icon in the upper left corner. From the dropdown menu, choose "My User Profile" and then navigate to the "Change Password" option. We advise creating a robust, unique password that incorporates a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters to enhance security.

2.Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) considerably increases your account's security. It requires two forms of identity verification: your password and a unique code sent to your device, ensuring secure access to your account.

After enabling 2FA, the sign-in process will include an extra step. Following the entry of your username and password, you'll be prompted to input a verification code from an authenticator app on your smartphone, adding an additional layer of identity confirmation.

Please note, if you lose your smartphone or uninstall the authenticator app, your account access will be temporarily restricted. Regaining access necessitates a verification procedure with our support department, a safeguard against unauthorized access.

2.1.Procedure to Activate 2FA

  • Sign into the My Interspace control panel, click the profile icon in the upper left corner, select "My User Profile," and then choose the Two-factor authentication option under "Access protection".
  • Install the recommended Authenticator app on your smartphone.
  • Use the Authenticator app to scan the barcode displayed in the My Interspace User Profile window.
  • Your My Interspace account will appear in the Authenticator as Interspace (YOUR-ACCOUNT-EMAIL-ADDRESS).
  • Pair the Authenticator with My Interspace by entering the code from the app into the User Profile window and clicking the Pair button. Note: The Authenticator refreshes the code every 30 seconds.
  • Click Save to finalize the changes to your profile.

2.2.Procedure to Use 2FA

  • When signing in next time, first enter your username and password as usual.
  • Then, enter the verification code from your Authenticator app.
